The CW Television Network is an American television broadcast network making its first splash in the world of esports. Famous for shows like The Flash, Arrow, and Supernatural, CW will be hosting the first ever team-based tournament for H1Z1: King of the Kill by Daybreak Game Company. H1Z1 currently enjoys immense fandom on the popular streaming site Twitch.tv and can be seen near the top of the charts daily.
Fight for the Crown will pit 15 teams of 5 players in a massive all-out battle royale. As 75 players parachute down into a chaotic warzone, it’s do-or-die in this single-elimination tournament. And with the competition high, the stakes become enormous as the last team standing will receive the lion’s share of the $300,000 prize pot: $180,000.
Prior to the show, The CW aired six episodes of a mini-series featuring our very own chairs and our sponsored esports team, Echo Fox. The series can be found on The CW’s site.
Echo Fox, after rushing to find a fifth player to complement their team as seen in the show, will be taking center stage at Fight for the Crown. Catch them and our chairs on television on The CW at 9pm Pacific tonight!
