JULY 21, 2017 – As esports increases its presence across the world, North America has seen a diverse mix of individuals step into the foray. One organization that surprised the industry with its induction into the scene is Phoenix1, a Los Angeles-based group headed by the Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures Rob Moore, his son Michael Moore, and film producer Jack Giarraputo.
We are extremely excited to announce that we will be partnering with them as Phoenix1’s new official gaming chair sponsor!
Phoenix1 first broke into the scene by taking over Team Impulse’s slot in the North American League Championship Series. The new owners took a squad formerly embroiled in controversy and turned around the mishaps of the former owners to put the organization on a path towards a respectable future. Since then, Phoenix1 has broken the Top 3 of the NALCS Spring Split of 2017 and recruited players in both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Wii U.
