JULY 21, 2017 – As esports increases its presence across the world, North America has seen a diverse mix of individuals step into the foray. One organization that surprised the industry with its induction into the scene is Phoenix1, a Los Angeles-based group headed by the Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures Rob Moore, his son Michael Moore, and film producer Jack Giarraputo.

Phoenix1 first broke into the scene by taking over Team Impulse’s slot in the North American League Championship Series. The new owners took a squad formerly embroiled in controversy and turned around the mishaps of the former owners to put the organization on a path towards a respectable future.
